THE TEAM:
Michael Bloom
and
Michael Landshman

Both Michael's have
worked together for the past 10 years.
Michael Bloom
Languages:
English and Hebrew
Experience:
20 years
Michael Bloom has been training dogs for over 20
years. His first experience of handling dogs was working for a
London security firm, his only protection was a German Shepherd
cross breed dog and a very powerful searchlight. Michael realized that his
life depended on the ability of his canine companion friend to
react in dangerous and threatening situations. At that point he decided
too become a dog trainer and began
his apprenticeship at the "Dog Training Centre" in Bushey UK.
His teachers were the late Anthony Burley, and the hundreds of
dogs that visited the centre. Every day for two years, whatever
the weather conditions, Michael and his team walked, trained and
lived dogs. In the evenings, Mr. Burley would take his staff out
to a pub, and would sit for hours discussing what they had
experienced during the day. Michael also joined 3 different dog
training groups, and with is Belgian Shepherd Dog, Rocky, learned
many different methods of training. It was at a lecture on dogs
that Michael first met the world famous Roy Hunter, and was so
impressed by his words, that he took part in many of his "Anglo
American Dog Training" seminars, and they built up a close
relationship. Michael and his dog Rocky were also guests at
John Rogerson's home
in County Durham, in the north of England, and Michael will never forget
what he learned from this internationally known dog behaviorist.
Another brilliant teacher that taught Michael at the "Anglo
American Dog Training" seminars was
Terry Ryan from America.
Michael returned to his beloved Israel and the Israeli army, serving 4 years in charge of a dog
protection unit. Michael was also sent to the police dog
training school, and qualified as an explosive search dog
handler. Since Michael left the army, he has continued to
help the security services, including many years of reserve duty
at the air force dog training school. He regularly lectures to
the Israeli army's elite dog unit, and has also lectured recently to the
police's anti terrorist dog unit.
Michael holds dog training
classes in Tel - Aviv, Modiin, Rehovot, and Omer near Be'er
Sheva. He also does private training, and behavior modification
sessions. Michael has lectured on numerous occasions at
many veterinary practices, municipalities and kibbuzim, where
his humorous and extremely informative talks have always been a
great success. He has always worked closely in unison with vets,
because many
behavior problems are also vet related, and the
relationship between vets and trainers can be vital to properly
solving difficult behavior problems. Michael also works with
Michael Landshman, another of Israel's most experienced and sort
after dog trainers, both Michael's have
worked together for the past 10 years, they both have a sensitive and easy
approach, and each helps the other with their particular
specialties.
Michael works closely as an advisor to many dog
rescue shelters throughout Israel, and offers many options for
helping difficult or abused dogs to become truly wonderful,
enjoyable and loving members of their new found homes.

Michael Bloom's life is dedicated to training
dogs, and he does so with love, patience and humor. Dogs feel
his presence, and feel comfortable when close to him. It can
honestly be said that by using kind and gentle training methods,
all the dogs that regularly train in Michael's classes look
forward eagerly to every lesson.
Michael lives with his wife, two children and
Simba their Bernese Mountain Dog in Modiin, Israel.
